Easy Swaps To Become More Eco Friendly

Hiyaa!
Back again with some info on becoming more eco-friendly! This is something I'm very passionate about and it's so easy to make a difference!

Reusable Water Bottles!
Mine is from Chilly's Bottles and is lasting so well. It's made of metal and comes in so many different designs

Reusable Coffee Cups!
These are also available from Chilly's Bottles or Keep Cup

Metal Straws!
You could even bulk buy paper straws but metal straws are reusable and can get them anywhere. You can even get bent metal straws if that's what you prefer. Have a look on Amazon for them here

Bamboo Makeup Pads!
These are reusable and you can get loads of them from Amazon. So handy for taking makeup off and you can just wash them and reuse them again. Another great thing to use to remove makeup is with muslin cloths

Cotton Buds!
Instead of stopping using them all together, simply change to cotton buds with paper stems instead of plastic. I've linked paper stem cotton buds here at Superdrug as this was the best value option! You can also get bamboo stems at a few stores, see them here at It's All About You

Makeup Wipes!
Ideally stop or reduce your use of makeup wipes but if you can't, get the Simple Biodegradable Wipes. They're made from sustainable materials and will break down in just 42 days

Shampoo & Conditioner Bars!
Make the swap from liquid shampoo & conditioner to bars. Lush have loads of different types for all hair types

Soap Bars!
Another small swap is changing from liquid soap to bars of soap. So simple and make such a difference. Lush have so many varieties of soap and they're all natural

Toothbrushes & Toothpaste!
You can get bamboo toothbrushes for adults, toddlers and even lil babies. You can get them almost everywhere. Alternative toothpaste is also available. Check out Truthpaste

Safety Razors!
Safety razors help to eliminate the use of plastic razors! They're made of metal and usually come with their own shaving soap! You can grab one here from Do Your Bit NI

Natural Deodorant!
Natural deodorant is another great swap! So easy to do, just swap the aerosol for a stick! Do Your Bit NI have an all natural one here with paperboard packaging

Menstrual Pads!
I've seen loads of reusable menstrual pads online, for example these ones on Honour Your Flow. They also have menstrual cups and other bits! If you're not too comfortable with moving to a reusable menstrual pad, check out these organic pads instead! Natracare have plastic free pads so they're good for you and the environment!

Secondhand Clothing!
You would be surprised at the difference you can make by buying clothes secondhand, compared to buying from fast fashion brands! It could be from charity shops, eBay, Depop, swap shops etc!

Soapnuts!
Last up is a swap for the washing machine. Using soapnuts instead of washing powder is highly effective and it's completely organic! You can check them out here at Do Your Bit NI

None of the links here all affiliate! I've also linked Do Your Bit NI a few times because it's important to me to shop local and they have such an amazing range of products!! I've made sure to link all the products to make it as easy as possible! There are obviously even more swaps you can make but here are some easy ones to hopefully get you started! The main thing is to reduce plastic usage and reduce waste!!
If you're interested in living more plastic free, definitely check out Lush as they've recently launched plastic free makeup and more!!
