Tackling Fast Fashion

Helloo!

If you didn't know, I'm very passionate about the environment and one area that I've really tried to change is with fast fashion. It is heartbreaking seeing so many people buy an outfit and wear it once and do nothing with it or throw it out.

I've tried to reduce what I'm buying but also only purchase second hand clothing and today I'm going to share where I get them from! I've always been a fan of second hand clothing, whether it's for vintage pieces or just more affordable and now it's slowly taking over my wardrobe!

Depop

I've gotten a range of stuff from Depop over the years and even sold some stuff on it! It's similar to eBay in that it's ordinary people selling their clothes or accessories or anything! Depop is great for vintage items or limited edition pieces that you may have missed! Here's a few of the pieces I've gained from it! The price range for their items can vary a lot as it's all individual sellers who can charge what they want!

Ebloggers

I first discovered Ebloggers through Sarah Ashcroft. I'm a huge fan of hers and when she started selling her clothes on Ebloggers instead of Depop, I had to check it out. Ebloggers is probably my favourite place to get secondhand clothing and they sell clothes from bloggers basically! A lot of bloggers get sent pieces or will buy something to wear once for a photo so now they can sell it on Ebloggers to help tackle fast fashion! Some of the stuff I've bought has even arrived with the tags still on! If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen my favourite denim jacket in the world and it's actually from Ebloggers! Due to it being bloggers clothes, it can cost a bit more compared to other second hand stores but it just depends what you're after! It's still affordable!

Thrift+
This is a new one that I've discovered and I actually haven't made an order from yet! However, everything you buy from Thrift+, they donate half of it to charity! For example, if something is £10, they will get £5 and then £5 will go to charity! The charities are all different as well and everything is so affordable!

Gullygarms
I only discovered these guys recently on Instagram and have already made a purchase! It's another vintage retailer and everything is priced so affordably! They also sell some big brands on Gullygarms with affordable prices so definitely recommend a nosy!

Kilogarm
Kilogarm are a vintage retailer but they do a lot of events mainly! There is one coming up soon in Belfast so I'll definitely be going to check it out! They're an Irish company and at their events, you can buy a kilo of clothing for £20!

As well as all these, there is of course eBay, Amazon and charity shops etc but these are some of my favourites due to the range of items but you can also shop online for the majority of them!

I will be doing a haul on my YouTube channel soon of all the bits I've picked up recently!
